The principal’s bungalow was big and at a distance. During the nighttime, I and another colleague of mine used to go to sleep at the bungalow of spokesperson Mrs. Joshi. In the evening, Mrs. Joshi used to talk on various topics and we used to be ashamed of our ignorance.
One day, while discussing a saint (in 1950-51), she told “A saint comes to Almora, he is omniscient and whatever he says is true.” Since then I had a strong desire to see Poojya (respected) Baba.
From July 1952, the school had come back to Allahabad. In 1954-55, a student named Nandi Pant took admission to School. Her house was on the other side of the road in front of our house. She lived with her mother, father, and brother.
It was she who told me one day that a saint comes to him and he tears her note with laughter and says, “Tie(rebind) it and give it to the vegetable vendor.” When she comes to the market scared and thinks that the note will come out whole in pieces after opening the tied note. But when she opens her handkerchief there and sees it, she finds a completely complete note.

June 17, 1955, At 9.30 pm, Mr. Shantimoy Rai (Proprietor Esray & Co, Chowk, Allahabad) was sitting and talking for a meal. My brother-in-law was also sitting there. My mother-in-law and mother-in-law`s sister were doing sandhya aarti in the pooja room and when I saw Nandi Pant entering the courtyard very fast I met her in front of the house. I immediately agreed to leave without hesitation. After stopping for a moment, I thought that it would be right to tell my mother-in-law and mother-in-law`s sister who were there. As soon as she told these two, they both agreed to go without thinking.

On leaving, she saw that Poojya Maharaj Ji was lying in a small room on a carpet on a bamboo pedestal. Immediately he got up sat down and asked.

We told our name, address, etc. After telling, we were waiting for that Poojya Maharaj Ji might ask to sit. After waiting a few moments, we audaciously wanted to sit down. As we were about to sit down, he said –
“Your husband’s Bengali friend has come to the house and let him drink tea.” I said, “my nephew is in the house, he will prepare and serve”.
“No! You go and do it.”
“Go Kamala, I will come to your house tomorrow.” Hearing this, we were not courageous enough to not obey his orders. We immediately left after five minutes. Seeing the return so soon, the people sitting in the house were very curious and curious as to what happened? When Shanti da heard it, he was stunned.

I was very disappointed to return immediately. It happened to the professor as well but he did not express anything. The struggle went on throughout the night in the mind.
Thinking that the next day Professor Saheb will go to get Poo Maharaj ji? What will I do if I don’t go? As soon as I asked to walk the next morning, Professor Sahib agreed to walk after washing his face. I wore slippers while leaving because I am not used to walking empty feet on the road.
As soon as we went to the room and bowed down, seeing Professor Sahib, Baba ji immediately got up and said-
“Let us go”
Before leaving, I kept a pillow for Poojya Maharaj ji by laying a clean sheet on the bed of my mother-in-law’s room and a hand fan was also kept. Curtains were also put on the window. As soon as he came, Maharaj Ji sat on the tucket (takhat) and said-
“This is my home. Now I will be live here only.”
After this, whenever Maharaj came to Allahabad, he used to stay with us. On his arrival, there used to be a crowd of devotees and devotees. He used to come in any month and bring any devotee with him. The house was built according to the old design, due to which there were inconveniences.
Whenever Maharaj Ji used to come, he used to say –
“Won’t you build the house?”
“Didn’t buy the land?”
“When will you make it?”
“Kamala will get it constructed.”
“It will happen on its own”
For the second time, Maharaj Ji came and said Dada, now you have to leave the house. Your uncle will tell you to go. It was only after this that the Improvement Trust auctioned the land of Colonelganj Inter College in pieces. We also got a part of that. This new house has been built on it. He came again for the third time and asked the same question.
“Have you built a house?”
Hearing this, the professor kept silent. “Bought the land.”
“When will you make it? “How many bricks will it take Kamala?
I said, “I have no idea about this, Baba, only the engineer will be able to tell.” At that very moment, he would say, “Kamala will make it.”
“It will happen by itself.”
We had bought the land in 1957 and the work of building the house was done by Shri N. K. Agrawal and Shri K.K. It was done as per the instructions of Agrawal Engineer Architects & Contractors. This work started in February and ended in July. On July 14, 1958, we moved to this house (4 Church Lane – Allahabad).
